Présentation du projet

This project aims at acquiring a dual flow N2/He cryocooler to perform structural studies by single crystal X-ray diffraction from 300 down to 28 K. With this equipment, it will be possible to follow over a wide range of temperature the structural modifications of functional compounds showing interesting properties below 80K (eg superconductivity). The characterization of the photo-induced metastable states in molecular switches will also be possible and should help to improve molecular design and switch efficiency. The device will benefit any group interested in deciphering fine structure-properties relationships in crystals.
