International mobility grants

LabEx goals

Through its international mobility grant policy, LabEx MiChem contributes to strengthening the international impact of research at the Faculty of Science & Engineering of Sorbonne University (SU). This goal requires the identification of international partners or the strengthening of existing contacts. These scholarships contribute to the improvement of student training and promote study abroad as part of the Master of Chemistry or the SU PhD.

LabEx therefore finances up to 5 months of internships for Master M1 or M2 or short stays of doctoral students (Doc) abroad. Mobility periods must be validated as part of Sorbonne University degrees. The contribution to the financing of mobility is 300 €/month, which can be combined with other funding available to students. Finally, eligible research work must be in line with LabEx's thematic areas.

Master students

LabEx MiChem actively participates in the training of master's students by financing more than twenty International Mobility Scholarships each year: these funds provide students with enriching international experiences that enhance their careers.

Most of these scholarships are awarded to students in the UPMC Master of Chemistry. In the second year, the Molecular Chemistry course and the Analytical, Physical and Theoretical Chemistry course are the most supported.

Doctoral students

MiChem doctoral students can obtain additional funding for a research stay abroad. Doctoral students funded by other structures may also be awarded International Mobility Grants, even if they are not working on research projects funded by MiChem.
